Notes, Quote and Reviews for "Alukaleigh Lutz & Other Songs for Kids"
Just a quick note to let you know that I think your CD "Alukaleigh Lutz" is terrific! My kindergarten class absolutely loves to sing along with the song "Alukaleigh Lutz". We enjoy making the sounds and movements of all the animals in "All That I Could Really Say" and when we have vegetables for lunch, we like to listen to "Cinnamon Sugar". But my personal favorite, as a grown-up and mommy, is "Mommy Must Be Magical". You have found your inner child with the songs on your CD. Are you sure you're an adult?" Evelyn Davis, Kindergarten Teacher Wyomissing, Pennsylvania |
"Whimsical, yet poignant..." Stewart Brodian, WDIY DJ, musician, composer, actor and world traveller
"...I think it's wonderful. I have a five-year-old daughter who wants to listen to it over and over!" K.elly de la Rocha, Editor "About Families" Newspaper, Lebanon, Pennsylvania
PRODUCT REVIEWS Alukaleigh Lutz & Other Songs for Kids by Mom's Network Apr. 7, 2003 "With so many children's albums on the market now days, it's hard to determine which ones your children will like and which ones will be hanging out on the CD rack until they're 18. Fortunately enough, artists such as Maureen Carr make selecting children's music a little easier. My children and I found her unique mix of 60's folk and rock easy to sing to at home, in the car, and of course in the bathtub. There are 15 original songs on this album that touch on a variety of themes. It is recommended for children ages eight and under, but believe me when I say these are the type of songs that stick in your head long after hearing... no matter what your age." http://content.momsnetwork.com
"original upbeat songs that beg a sing-a-long" John Wood, Kidzmusic.com
"Maureen Carr has entertained my students in the classroom, and now she delights them with her recording. She's taken the ordinary experiences in a child's life and turned them into adventures. Children embrace her enthusiasm and insights. She's warmed the souls of my K's through 2nd graders." Elaine R. Fernandez, Educator, Tulpehocken Area School District, Pennsylvania.
A 2003 Parents' Choice Recommended Award Winner
